The University of Danang signed the Mou with Kyoto Sangyo University


In the morning of August 5th 2014, the University of Danang (UD) welcomed and signed the MOU with the delegation of Kyoto Sangyo University (KSU) led by Prof. Ichiro Fujoka, President of KSU.

At the meeting, the two parties discussed about the potential cooperation between KSU and UD. Assoc. Prof. Tran Van Nam – President of UD said that UD and KSU had a lot of similarities in education and training. Moreover, President also introduced some strong disciplines of UD which can be deployed to cooperate with KSU such as: IT, economical law, technology, environment... According to Assoc. Prof. Tran Van Nam, these above mentioned fields of studies are disciplines which Vietnam and Japan are interested in and would like to cooperate for development.

In order to create more opportunities for UD’s students to improve their Japanese skills after graduation to meet the demand of employers and support students in studying abroad in Japan in the future, UD has coordinated with Japan Organization for Oversea Study Supports to provide Japanese courses at no cost for UD’s students which started on February 28th, 2014  .

After the introduction and proposals of President Tran Van Nam, Prof. Ichiro FuJoKabriefly introduced about the framework of organization of KSU through the attached brochure. It is known that KSU was established in 1965. The purpose of KSU is “Training the high-qualified leaders for Japan in the future”. KSU is a multi-disciplinary, multi-level university with more than 13.000 students. Especially, KSU has set up a comprehensive higher education system which helps students have chances to discover a lot of modern methods in their studying and use these methods in the best way to update their skills, knowledge and  technology. “The strongest discipline of KSU is IT” said Prof. Ichiro FuJoKa. Besides, KSU also specializes in training Economics and Technology with many projects. President Ichiro FuJoKa emphasized that KSU is really willing to cooperate with UD in training programs such as IT, environment, economics, and co-doing scientific research. On this occasion, Prof. Ichiro FuJoKa would like to invite Assoc. Prof. Tran Van Nam and other UD’s senior representatives to participate in the WACE conference which will be hosted by KSU in 2015.

At the end of the meeting, President Ichiro FuJoKa expressed his thanks to UD for the warm welcome and hoped that cooperative programs in training and scientific research between the two universities will develop steadily.
