Output of joint training program between Danang University of Economics and the University of Sunderland (UK): Prepared human resources for competitive integration

 

On 26/11/2014, Center for International Education (CIE) of Danang University of Economics organized School – year Ending and Degree Award ceremony for 7 students of Business Administration under the joint training program between Danang University of Economics and the University of Sunderland, UK.

 

The ceremonytook place in accordance with a School – year Ending and Degree Award etiquette of the University of Sunderland, UK.

 

New Bachelors took photo with leaders and teachers

 

 

Danang University ofEconomics and the University of Sunderland (UK) have officially cooperated to deliver undergraduate training program of Business Administration since 2005.

 

The training processis divided into three phases: 1 year for English preparation, two years following UKNational College program - BTEC HND, and last year for transition to universities in the UK, Australia, USA and Singapore or study at University of Economics (The University of Da Nang) to obtain a Bachelor's degree. With much success as expected in the cooperation period of 2006 - 2013, on 02/10/2013, leaders of the two universities agreed to the sign a cooperation agreement for Master of Business Administration training (degrees granted by the University of Sunderland).

“The relationship betweenUniversity of Economics (The University of Da Nang) and the University of Sunderland (UK) has become closer and ever more developed; because we have the same vision for the future contributing to relation of the two training communities, two countries.”

 

Weunanimously shared significant values in putting benefits of "being trained and happy enjoying after the effort of learning, research and practicing of students" as top priority, recognized prof. Peter Michael Fidler, President of the University of Sunderland.

 

Healso advised the youth with useful things related to purpose driven lifestyle with ambitions of student right from the time to inherit the care and education of the family and school.

 

Agreed with this point, prof. Tim Boatswain, president of TEG International University, Singapore, has emphasized two factors "must believe in the power, the ability of self" and "dare to accept defeat." In fact, the examples of success are those who repeatedly sustain defeat.

 

Prof.Tim Boatswain also advised the newly - graduated students today, "the knowledge you learned and skills you have are your proud new possibilities and values. You bring those to serve and benefit the country, relatives and friends.

 

Prof.Peter Michael Fidler, President of the University of Sunderland, UK and Prof.Dr. Trương Bá Thanh – Vice President of the University of Danang, Director of CIE (Ex-Rector of University of Economics) awarded degree and flower to new bachelor Nguyễn Đức Huy.

 

Prof.Trương Bá Thanh awarded scholarships and flowers to the two excellent students (Joint Program BTEC, 2013 - 2014).

 

Ms.Khánh Uyên received award of the best student (course 2013 - 2014) Joint training program of Bachelor of Business Management.

 

Currentlythere are nearly 150 students attending the joint training program at CIE. In particular, first-year course - Sud 14: 41 students, second – year course - Sud 13: 40, third-year course - Sud 12: 44, and Top Up school year 2014-2015: 21 students.

Many of graduates from joint training program of the CIE of University of Economics (the University of Danang) continue graduate studies at the reputed Universities in UK, US (statistics show that nearly 50% of them have got Master degree). A survey of CIE also reveals that the remaining number of graduates has found job very soon after graduated. In particular, one student currently holds the position of project assistant for Germany Siemens Group in Singapore (namely Nguyen Van Tue, class 06 SUD).

 

Twoother students are Lecturers of Danang University of Economics and Danang College of Information Technology. Another interesting information from this survey is that 12 students out of graduated and enrolled students are children of 6 families who have been studied in CIE.
