University of Economics, The University of Da Nang: Working with the German Experts and UN-Habitat Organization on Project "Fast Planning"

 

In the afternoon of 9/3/2015, University of Economics honored to welcome German Experts and UN-Habitat Organization. Attending the meeting, there were representatives of the University leaders:  Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen - Vice President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Thi Lan Huong - Dean of Marketing Faculty; Dr. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen - Head of Science and International Cooperation Office; Dr. Duong Thi Lien Ha, MA. Hoang Cong Huan - Deputy Head of Science & International Cooperation.

 






 

At the meeting, UN – Habitat Organization briefed on the projects that have been implemented in Vietnam, in which the project “Fast planning” - a research project under the direction of action in order to develop methods of multi industry urban planning is attached importance. The project focuses on basic infrastructure services in young and dynamic cities of developing countries. Da Nang was chosen as one of three cities in the world to receive consultancy support to deploy this project with the aim to develop policy for sustainable urban planning, environmental friendliness and high competitiveness in the international market. University of Economics, the University of Da Nang will act in collaboration with and support of the project experts in collecting data, conducting surveys and studies on urban planning, fast planning consultancy for the city.

 




 

In addition, both sidesdiscussed on issues of setting a representative office of UN-Habitat at  University of Economics, making cooperative agreement on Center of Excellence and the University’s engagement in  a number of research projects in the future. Both sides will continue to work together in the workshop "Start fast planning projects "which will be taken place in the morning of 10/3/2015 in the Administration Center of the City.
