Joint programs3 + 1, 2 + 2 and the top-up program (for students meeting required standards will be forwarded to Leeds Beckett University for final year and received degree of Leeds Beckett University) were the content of cooperation that Leeds Beckett University and the University of Danang (UD) proposed in the meeting at UD.
The delegation from Leeds Beckett University included Mr. Joe Rossiter, International Development Manager, International Office; Mr. Robert Teal, Head of International Recruitment, Leeds Business School; Mr. Kevin Hannam, Professor of Tourism Mobility, Leeds Business School; Mr. Juha Kaapa, Principal Lecturer and Academic Leader of International Development, Leeds School of Art, Architecture & Design; Mr. Michael Noble, Manager, Noble Solutions; Mr. Tung Hoang, International Education Consultant, Noble Solutions.
Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam – President of UD and related departments leaders warmly welcomed the delegation from Leeds Beckett University.
Visiting to UD this time, Leeds Beckett University expressed the wish to cooperate with UD in delivering joint programs 3 + 1, 2 + 2 and top-up program. Under the top-up program, qualified students will be transferred to Leeds Beckett University for final year, be recognized as the University students and awarded degree by Leeds Beckett University.
Prof.Kevin Hannam and leaders of Commerce and Tourism Faculty, University of Economics shared common desire to cooperate in joint training program in tourism at UD.
According to report of UD, there are over 1000 architects in the city of Danang which will be considered as potential resources for opening joint program of Master in Architecture at UD.
Finally, thetwo sides agreed to continue the exchange information via email to reach agreement on concrete cooperation in the near future.
Reportedly, Leeds Beckett is one of the leading universities in the UK with 28,000 students from many nationalities around the world. The University has partnered with UK’s leading Festival and Event promoter to provide its students exciting opportunities to develop experience and skills in a festival setting. Leeds Beckett University was the only UK University to secure more than 70 student internships at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, over 200 students a year taking part in projects all over the globe.
