In the framework of working visit to Danang City, in the morning of September 5th, 2016, the delegation from Kurgan State University, Russia led by Mr. Prokofyev Konstantin - Acting Rector paid a visit to the University of Danang. Accompanying the Rector, there were Mrs. Saveleva Mariia, Vice Rector of international cooperation; Mr. Andrey Brovarets, Consulate General of the Russia in Danang city; Mr. Roman Nilov - Vice Consul and Ms. Natalia Shafinskaia Valerievna - Acting Head of Representative Agency of Rossotrudnichestvo Cooperation in Vietnam, Director of Centre for Russian Science and Culture in Hanoi. Through the meeting, the two sides promoted cooperation by signing MOU.

Founded in 1951 and located in Kurgan City, Kurgan Province, Kurgan State University is a nonprofit public University, Russia. The University provides training for 10,000 students and practitioners in the fields of industry, machine manufacturing, metallurgy, medicine etc… for the Kurgan province and other neighboring areas. The University specializes in training high-qualified scientific doctorate, teaching staff to meet the need for machine manufacturing. Many graduates have been working at the manufacturing factory or military industry in Russia.
Through the discussion, the two universities signed an MOU to deploy following concrete activities:
• Development of joint training programs and/or scientific research programs;
• Exchange of staff (professors - faculty, research staff, administrative staff and technical experts);
• Exchange of students (students, graduate students and PhD students) and development of all forms and directions of other cooperation.

Reportedly, in addition to the programs taught in Russian for student exchange, the Kurgan State University is currently developing the programs in English. Specially, the summer courses (lasting for 10 days or 01 months) held in the form of tourism can help international students to learn more about the Russia country in general and Kurgan province in particular.
In the afternoon of the same day, the Kurgan Artist Delegation had an artistic performance in Meeting Hall A, the University of Foreign Language Studies, UD (131 Luong Nhu Hoc), with the excellent repertoires to introduce the Russian country and people.
Mr. Prokofyev Konstantin gifted to the University of Danang
