In the cooperation framework between the University of Danang (UD) and the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis (UNS), France, in the morning of September 07, 2016, representative leaders of the two universities formally signed the MOU on the establishment of the MIRE (Maison de l'innovation et de la Recherche) with an aim to support and promote research and innovation at UD.
President of UNS, Prof.Frédérique Vidal affirmed that UD has been listed as an official strategic partner of UNS, and joint research project will be a special focus for development cooperation between the two universities in the time to come.

Reportedly, in the framework of cooperation, UD and UNS has developed activities of joint master training and successfully implemented many projects to exchange students and faculty.
In this session, the two universities have looked back and evaluated the cooperation results achieved in the cooperation roadmap leading to a new vision of the birth of MIRE.
Accordingly, the research project of TRT eHealth has been conducted in recent years, and the 3rd RUNSUD Conference was successfully co-organized in last April.
In training cooperation, since 2010 there were 17 PhD students defended their projects at UNS; more than 110 masters graduated in IT, Hydroprotech, MBA ...
Prof. Tran Van Nam also emphasized that in addition to the results mentioned above, UD and UNS have got achievements in scientific conference and publishing in international scientific journals. Through collaboration, UD has been able to promote its image and attract more funding for training and research.
Through these achievements, the establishment of MIRE is essential to support and promote the strength and reputation of the universities.
At the meeting, Prof. Vo Trung Hung who will be responsible of MIRE recommended to put some projects into MIRE for further enhancement of the function and efficiency of MIRE.
After the signing, Assoc. Prof. Vo Trung Hung guided Prof. Frédérique Vidal and Prof. Stéphane Ngo Mai to visit Software Development Center, UD and some locations intended for Mire.
