In the morning of October 20th, 2016, the scientists, researchers, representatives of authorities and enterprises, lecturers and students of University of Economics – the University of Danang (UE – UD) participated in the scientific seminar with a theme: "Joint development of safe food chain".
Nowadays, unsafe food sold in the market causes anxiety for not only consumers but also the farmers, the enterprises. Therefore, how to optimize and cooperate to build the fresh food brands with the guaranteed quality was the topic for participants to exchange and discuss in this seminar. Dr. Dao Huu Hoa - Vice Rector of UE - UD presented the opening remarks and hoped that through this seminar, all authorities, enterprises and scientists would suggest some practical solutions to no longer make the production units and consumer concern about the quality of food".
After the report of Prof. Dr. Le The Gioi, the seminar included four presentations as follows:
- Food quality assurance management in Danang city – Actual situation, advantages and difficulties - Mr. Nguyen Tu, Branch Manager of National Agro-Forestry Fisheries Quality Assurance Department;
- Analysis of the food value chain in Danang city - Dr. Nguyen Huu Nguyen Xuan, member of research team;
- IT applications in traceability and food safety control – Mr. Vu Van Thanh, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, University of Science and Technology - UD
- A model of the supply chain and solutions for monitoring the food quality assurance in the chain - Dr. Le Thi Minh Hang, Faculty of Business Administration, UE - UD
Many comments from the participants were acknowledged in the seminar. These will be the basis for the Executive Boards to complete the research as well as soon announce the result for the appropriate authorities to apply in solving the food contamination in society.
