After the courtesy visit of Finland University (FinUni) to the University of Danang (UD) in last September, in the morning of November 9th, 2016 the MoU signing ceremony between UD and FinUni has been officially deployed.
Attending the MoU signing ceremony, there were Mr. Pekka Saavalaine – CEO of FinUni; Mr. Harri Melin – Vice Rector of University of Tampere; Ms. Trinh Truong – Education Coordinator, University of Tampere; Ms. Leena Wilkman – Director of International Office, University of Tampere and Ms. Mirka Gustafsson – Key Account Manager, Finland University. The meeting attendees from UD included Assoc. Prof. Ngo Van Duong – Vice President of UD; Assoc. Prof. Dinh Thanh Viet – Director of Educational Quality Assurance Department, UD; MA. Ho Long Ngoc – Vice Director of International Cooperation Department, UD.

It is known that FinUni constitutes the biggest university consortium inthe Nordic area and also ranked in the top 2% of leading universities in the world. FinUni includes 3 major universities in Finland (University of Eastern Finland, University of Turku, University of Tampere). Up to the present time, there are about 50,000 students and 8,000 lecturers in FinUni. Especially, there are 60 master programs taught entirely in English such as Law, Economics, Medicine and Pharmacy, Foreign Languages, Information Technology, etc.

After discussing about advantages of UD and FU, the two sides suggested potential cooperative programs as follows:
· MA programs in Tourism, Marketing and Management;
· Students and lecturers exchange programs;
· The short-term courses in various topics;
· Co-organize conferences and seminars;
· Find out and deploy research projects.
In addition, all information relating to enrolment and scholarships of FinUni will be updated and announced on website of UD.
