The MoU signing ceremony between The University of Danang and World University Service of Canada

 

In the afternoon of November 16th, the University of Danang (UD) signed the MoU with World University Service of Canada (WUSC)-a Canadian non-profit organization. Founded in the 1920’s, WUSC commits to build a more equitable and sustainable world. WUSC works with a unique and powerful network or post-secondary institutions, private sector partners and volunteers to provide education, employment and empowerment opportunities that aim to improve the lives of millions of disadvantages women and youth around the world.

After discussing together, the two sides agreed to sign the MoU with cooperative programs as follows:

- “Leave for change” (L4C) is a short-term volunteer programme of Uniterra. The programme will provide volunteers who are professors and lecturers from WUSC’s partnered educational institutions or staff members of WUSC’s partnered enterprises to help UD’s lecturers and students improve skills in the fields of IT and communication, Educational Management, Tourism...

- “Students without borders” is a program providing final – year students or newly graduated students from over 10 universities and colleges in Canada for UD to support in the fields of IT and communication, Educational Management, Tourism...

Ms. Nguyen Minh Hanh – Country Coordinator of WUSC introduced briefly about WUSC          

WUSC Vietnam was established in Hanoi in 1991. Areas have been employed in Vietnam include Marketing and Communication, Project Management, Partnership Development, IT, Recruitment and Soft Skill Training. The cooperative relationship between UD and WUSC will enhance the skills as well as build the professional capacity for managers and lecturers of UD in vocational training throughout different methods such as operating projects, exchanging information, etc. Besides, WUSC committed to support UD to organize programs such as “I have dream”, “Start up”, “Soft skills training” for UD’s students.
