On the occasion of 45th anniversary of Vietnam – Austria diplomatic relations, in the morning of December 7th, 2016 the University of Danang (UD) in coordination with ASEA-UNINET and the Austrian Embassy in Hanoi organized the seminar on “Austrian-Vietnamese ASEA-UNINET Days” under the framework of Austrian-Vietnamese Week organized in Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh cities.
The seminar attendees from ASEA-UNINET included Prof. A Min TJOA –Director of Institute of Software Technology and Interactive Systems, Vienna University of Technology, ASEA-UNINET National Coordinator for AUSTRIA; Assoc. Prof. Ngo Chi Trung – Vice President of ASEA-UNINET, Regional Coordinator for SEA and National Coordinator for Vietnam; Prof. Wolfgang OBENAUS, Vice – President of ASEA – UNINET, Vienna University of Economics and Business and other professors, researchers from various Eurasian universities.
Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam – President of UD said very excited in the seminar “UD highly appreciates the educational quality of Austria, however, the international cooperative projects and science research between UD and Austrian partners are still limited as well as not proportional to potential power. Therefore, we hope that Austrian researchers participating in this seminar today will create more opportunities not only for UD’s researchers to join in the Research team but also for UD’s lecturers and students to study in Austria".

After the section of scholarships information introduction from ASEA-UNINET and presentations from UD’s professors and ASEA-UNINET experts, UD’s lecturers and researchers continued to take part in the discussion section with professors from ASEA-UNINET in the fields of IT, Food Science, Biotechnology, Medicine, Economics, Geography and Environment.
