In the afternoon of March 3rd 2017, with the support from Italian Embassy in Vietnam and the Italian Consulate General in Hochiminh city, Vietnam, University of Foreign Language Studies, The University of Danang (UF – UD) organized the opening ceremony of Italian language course in Danang city. This is the first Italian course at UF – UD to develop the Italian language and culture in Danang city as well as satisfy the demand of studying in Italian universities. This course is a very essential for the recruitment of human resources using Italian language to serve for economy, education and tourism. Vietnamese lecturers and Italian native speakers would take charge of teaching this class.

Attending this opening ceremony, there were Dr. Hoang Hai – Director of International Cooperation Department, UD; Dr. Dao ThiThanh Phuong – Vice Rector of University of Foreign Language Studies, UD; senior representatives from faculties, offices of UF, UD and more than 20 students registering this course.
Dr. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong – Vice Rector of UF – UD delivered the opening remark.
In the opening ceremony, Dr. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong shared that on the basis of working sessions with the Italian Embassy in Vietnam and Italian prestigious universities at UD in 2016, after the preparation procedure of program, syllabus and teaching staff, UF – UD decided to organize the opening ceremony of Italian language course. The opening ceremony today would be a prerequisite for UF – UD to establish Italian division and faculty in the future.

Ms. Ambra Dalmasso, the Italian native speaker, lecturer of Italian language course at UF – UD presented that she was very honored to teach Italian language and culture at UF – UD. She hoped that the number of students attending this course would increase more and more because Danang was a tourism city attracting a large number of foreign tourists".
