The delegation of the University of Danang (UD) led by Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam - President of UD paid a business trip to Japan from April 2nd to 7th to enhance the international cooperation in education, training, science research, projects and seek more employment opportunities for UD’s students. In the delegation, there were also Dr. Hoang Hai – Director of International Cooperation Department – UD.
In this trip, UD’s delegation concentrated on working with various partners in Shi-koku and Chugoku areas of Japan.
On April 3rd, 2017, UD’s delegation visited and worked with Ehime University (EU), one of the top 30 universities in Japan. EU specializes in training biotechnology, oceanography, high technology agriculture and medicine (EU hospital is one of the famous hospitals in Japan). On this occasion, President Tran Van Nam proposed cooperative suggestions in lecturers and students exchange in the short-term or long-term courses, collaboration in science research with funding from Japanese government and Vietnamese government. The both universities agreed to promote the above-mentioned activities, while simultaneously promoting to sign the MoU in the upcoming time.
Moreover, on this occasion, UD and the University of Tokushima (UT) also signed a comprehensive MoU on training, science research, publishing, lecturers and students exchange. It is known that UT is a general university established in 1949 on the combination of six different higher educational institutions in Tokushima Province. Engineering, medicine and environment are one of strengths of UT.
In order to seek more opportunities for nursing students to do internship in Japan, UD’s delegation also visited and worked with Kurashiki Language Academy and Fukushima College of Nursing care & Welfare - one of the best nursing training schools in Japan with 100% employed graduates.
On April 4th, UD’s delegation paid a courtesy visit to People committee of Mimasaka City, Okayama Province. In the meeting, besides discussions in the fields of healthcare, mechanical engineering, IT, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam also presented his desire to cooperate with Mimasaka city in cultural exchange and sport activities. In addition, Dr. Hoang Hai had a presentation on Vietnamese people and culture as well as the possibility of cooperation between Mimasaka City and Danang City in particular or other cities in Vietnam in general. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam also had a working session with the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Mimasaka City as a Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association in Danang City.
