National Qualifying Round of the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship has successfully taken place at University of Economics – the University of Danang



In the morning of April 16th, 2017, the Opening Ceremony and National Round of Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship- MOS World Championship 2017 has officially taken place at Hall A - University of Economics – the University of Da Nang, and Hanoi and HCM city at the same time. Attending the ceremony were representatives of Organization Board, University of Economics, lecturers and students from the central region such as Da Nang, Quang Nam, Lam Dong and Phu Yen. ..

MOS World Championship is a contest organized by IIG Vietnam - the official representative of the leading testing center - Certiport United States in Vietnam in the cooperation with Microsoft Vietnam. During 7 years held in Vietnam, the contest has helped to promote the teaching and learning quality of information technology at international standards, thereby contributing to improving the quality of human resources in Vietnam, enhancing the competition and integration of Vietnamese human resources in the region and the world.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen - Vice Rector of University of Economics  - UD said: "The university is thoroughly aware of the importance of informatics skills for young people in integration and labor market competition. Therefore, we always focus on enhancing the training of informatics skills for learners. We are proud to be hosting the MOS World Championship in the Central region this year. This is a great opportunity for students in general and students of University of Economics in particular to approach the international Microsoft office standard."

Right after the Opening Ceremony, contestants competed in the following contents: Microsoft Word 2013, Microsoft Excel 2013 and Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. The test was conducted directly by Certiport USA.
