Vice president of the University of Danang has warmly welcomed the visit of new Australian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh city

 

On May 18, 2012, the Australian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh city led by Australian Consul General John James McAnulty has paid a courtesy visit to the University of Danang (UD). The delegation includes Ms. Felicity Sims and Ms. Le Thi Khoi Cat. This is Mr. John James McAnulty’s first visit to UD in his current position in Vietnam.

The delegation is received by Associate  Professor, Doctor. Ngo Van Duong -  Vice President of the University of Danang, M.Edu. Duong Mong Ha - Director of Educational Quality Assurance, MA. Tran Huu Phuc - Director of Administration Department and other related officers.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ngo Van Duong warmly welcomes the visit of Mr. John James McAnulty and has given a brief introduction of UD as well as summarized prominent achievements of UD in its cooperation with Australian institutions.

Mr. John James McAnulty also shares that he had a good impression on UD before getting new assignments in Vietnam. Amazingly, many universities in Australia mentioned UD and highly valued the activeness and quick development of UD when he visited universities in Australia before coming to Vietnam. Especially, the Australian Consul General highly appreciates the successful cooperation between UD and the University of Queensland throughout the years.

At the end of meeting, Dr. Ngo Van Duong affirms that UD always attaches importance to its relations with Australian partners and wishes Mr. John James McAnulty would help to boost cooperation in educational and cultural areas between UD and Australian universities stronger and more effective.
