That was the content exchanged in the morning meeting of July 28th, 2017 between the Secretary General of the APRU, Mr. Christopher Tremewan and Prof. Dr.Tran Van Tran – President of the University of Danang (UD).

It is known that, on April 10th , 2017, Deputy Minister of Education and Training - Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga had a meeting with Mr. Christopher Tremewan to discuss the coordination of the APRU Leadership Forum. Accordingly, the Forum will be held on November 8th, in Danang City, on the occasion of the APEC 2017 Economic Leader’s Week in Danang from November 6th to 11th. The Forum is an initiative hosted by the International Secretariat, APRU, in a series of APEC events held on the sidelines of the Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM 1), in February 2017 at Nha Trang City. In this session, the Vice Minister suggested the Forum's theme of human resources development in the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.
Sharing with Mr. Christopher Tremewan, Prof. Tran Van Nam expressed his desire to cooperate with the APRU in organizing activities related to the APEC event while to commit to maximum support and willingness to create conditions to help APRU successfully organize this Forum.
On this meeting, Mr. Christopher Tremewan also called for and expected many universities in Vietnam to register and participate in activities of the Association. Being a member of the APRU will help Vietnamese universities to strengthen their international links and cooperation with universities in the region.
