Establish relationship with Dongduk Women's University, Korea



On 21/7/2017, Dr. Hoang Hai, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the University of Da Nang, had a meeting with representatives of Dongduk Women's University, Korea on the fields of cultural exchange, student exchange, and joint-training.

Attending the meeting on the side of Dongduk Women's University, there were Prof. Daniel Song – Director of Asian Division and Prof. Suh Yong – Dean of International Cooperation Office.

At the meeting, representatives of Dongduk Women's University expressed their wish to cooperate with UD in many fields. Especially, Prof. Suh Yong espressed his wishes to receive UD’s students to study under exchange program (1-2 semesters) and send Korean students to study at UD. From that, Dr. Hoang Hai proposed to receive students from Korea under internship program (under this program, tuition fee can be exempted and students will cover the cost of accommodation and transportation).

Prof. Suh Yong highly appreciated efforts of UD in education to create opportunities for students to study and work in the international environment, and to improve their skills after graduation.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to proceed to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the near future.

Dongduk Women's University (DWU) is a private university founded by Cho Dong-Shik who was a Korean independence activist, in Seoul, South Korea. The University is originated from Dongwon Girls School, founded in 1950. DWU is composed of eight colleges, six departments, 18 majors, 16 departments of majors, and seven graduate schools. It has about 7,500 students and 350 faculty members.
