On the 3rd of August 2017, Dr. Kwong Weng Yap, Ms. Tiffany Wan, and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur Kohli came from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the National University of Singapore for a meeting with the University of Danang president, our interim-rector, Dr. Huong, and University of Economics representatives. The topics of discussion included the joint research projects in fields of mutual interests and other exchanges of academic publications and reports.
The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy has the ambition to be the leading global public policy school in Asia, developing thought leadership, improving standards of governance and transforming lives for a more sustainable world. It is the third best-endowed school of public policy in the world, and so offers many opportunities to young people venturing into the field. Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is proud to have international students making up 80% of the cohort where the students can immerse themselves in the diversity of cultures.
We had another meeting with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy staff about the proposal of a potential partnership between VNUK and Lee Kuan Yew School. Both parties were interested in a possible exchange program, exchanging staff and students for training and study in Singapore. The outcome of this meeting was very positive, and we are looking forward to meeting the staff from Lee Kuan Yew School again to further discuss the agreement of the exchange programme once we have carried out some research about which courses/programmes hold the most interest, and whether we partake in an undergraduate or postgraduate exchange programme.
