University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang is the first university in Central Vietnamto use solar power system

 

In the morning of September 27, 2017, the inauguration ceremony for the Grid-connect solar power systemswas organized at University of Science and Technology – the University of Danang (DUT-UD). The system was deployed by the SolarBK corporation with a total capacity of 49.6 kWp. This event has established DUT-UDasthe first "Green" university in CentralVietnam.

DUT-UD attendees included Prof. Dr. Le Kim Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of DUT-UD; Assoc. Prof. Truong Hoai Chinh – Vice Rector of DUT-UD and Assoc. Prof. Le Cung - Vice Rector of DUT-UD and Deans, Vice Deans of all faculties. The SolarBK’sattendees included Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu – Director and several seniors representatives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Le Kim Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of DUT-UD emphasized that "At present, people think that most of high – qualified workforces concentrate on two cities: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi City. In these two cities, young workforces have more opportunities to update modern information and approach practical experience than the youth have in the Central area. Therefore, DUT-UD agrees to cooperate with SolarBK to set up a solar power system with the aim of helping Central Vietnam students to approach and experience this model. In the next year, if many students are interested in clean energy, I will consider to open the new course for adapting the demand of the market. "

This project is a part of "Green Education System Development" of SolarBK.  Previously, SolarBK has deployed a lot of solar power systems for several universities such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Van Lang University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City in Ben Tre Province, and Can Tho University. In the upcoming time, SolarBK will continue to expand the model of clean energy to all universities nationwide to bring clean energy of Vietnam to the world.
