Meeting with representatives from The University of Mississippi, USA



On January 3rd, the University of Danang (UD)held a meeting with MA. Tracy L. Case Koslowski, Associate Director of Recruitment and Development, Intensive English Program and MA. Kurt W. Smith, Project Coordinator, Office of Global Engagement from the University of Mississippi, USA (UM).

At the meeting, MA. Ho Long Ngoc – Vice Director of International Cooperation Department, UD briefly introduced the framework of organization as well as training programs of all member universities of UD. MA. Ho Long Ngoc also presented cooperation programs that have been conducted between UD and other foreign universities, especially U.S. partners.

During the discussion, the two parties focused on ways to improve the English skills for UD students by cooperating toestablish exchange programs, Master in TESOL, especially by organizingsome short-term courses in English (i.e. 2 weeks) to help students obtain IELTS and TOEFL certificateseasier. The two parties also mentioned setting up the2+2 Program in Accounting, Business Administration, Medicine and Pharmacy. These programs will be built in the near future.

In addition, MA. Ho Long Ngocalso recommended to cooperate in doing scientific research between the two universities as well as sign the MoU with UM in the upcoming time.
