Strengthen the cooperation relationship with Hokkaido, Japan

 

On the afternoon of March 22, 2018, the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association led by Mr. Chiba Hidemori - Hokkaido Regional Council, Japan paid a working visit to the University of Danang (UD).

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Ngo Van Duong - Vice President of UD brieflyintroduced UD. As one of the three key regional universities of the whole country, UD has taken responsibility totrain and providehuman resources for the Central Area and Western Highlands of Vietnam.

Regardinginternational cooperation, UD has established relationships with many partners including universities, enterprisesand organizations worldwide, in which Japan is considereda strategic partner. Through many years of establishmentand development, UDhas signed MoUwith a lot of prestigious Japanese universities. Accordingly, mobility programsand short-term exchange courses have been implemented.

It is known that The Vietnamese-Japanese Friendship Association was established by the People's Council of Hokkaido Province. The meeting aimed at enhancingtheexchanges between Vietnam and Japan in general and between Danangand Hokkaido in particular.

Mr. Chiba Hidemori shared that in recent years, Danangand Hokkaido have jointly implemented a lot of effective exchange programs. In the upcoming time, Mr. Chiba Hidemorihoped to increase the number of  overseas students in exchange programs and also seekways to deploy several human resources exchange programs.

MA. Ho Ngoc Ngoc, Vice Director of International Cooperation Department, UD proposed that the Association should introduce more universities located in Hokkaido for UD to cooperate in training human resources as well as organizing conferences and seminars.

At the end of meeting, Mr. Chiba Hidemor emphasized that he would not only be the bridge to enhance the cooperation relationship between UD and Hokkaido province but also soon deploy proposals which UD suggested.
