10 UD’s students received the scholarship of State of Hessen, Germany

 

On the morning of April 24th, 2018, the "Scholarship Presentation Ceremony ofthe Ministry of Science and Arts of the State of Hessen and the World University Service, Germany (WUS) foroutstanding students in Central Vietnam was held at Hue University of Sciences. 29 scholarships with the total value of168.2 million VND were awarded to 29 typical students of colleges and universities in the Central region, in which 10 students are studying at the University of Danang (UD).

This is a scholarship program of the Ministry of Science and Arts of the State of Hessen (Germany) and WUS for Vietnamese students, which has been maintained continuously for more than 27 years. Each scholarship, worth 5.8 million VND,  encourages students in difficult conditions to overcome socioeconomic challenges in life and successfully complete their study. The 29 scholarship recipients are representative of the thousands of students attending colleges and universities in QuangBinh, QuangTri, ThuaThien-Hue, Danang, QuangNgai. However, these students in particular not only have lived in difficult conditions but also have excelled in academics and ethics and achieved many outstanding achievements in social activities…

In addition, each student also received a certificate from the Minister of Science and Arts of the State of Hessen (Germany)for receiving the WUS - HESSEN Scholarship award. According to Dr. Bui Cong Tho - Chief Representative of Hessen Vietnam Office, this certificate is the record of student achievement andstudent effort and helps thicken their "record of achievements."

The ceremony concluded with the joy and pride of students receiving the scholarship, in the great trust of the organizers. It is hoped that there will be more scholarships to support outstanding students in their studies and life, which will help more students to overcome socioeconomic adversity, motivate them to excel in their studies and training, and eventually become talented people for the country.
