The Scholarship introduction of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the University of Danang

 

In the morning of September 6, 2018, the University of Danang (UD) welcomed and worked with representatives of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Vietnam, including Mr. Stefan Hase-Bergen - Head of DAAD Regional Office Hanoi for Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung – in charge of Scholarship programmes of DAAD in Vietnam. The UD’s attendances included Assoc. Prof. Dinh Thanh Viet - Director of Quality Assurance Department; MA. Ho Long Ngoc, Deputy Director, International Cooperation Department; Assoc. Prof. Phan Qui Tra - Head of Science Management & International Cooperation Office, University of Education and Technology, UD.

 

At the meeting, MA. Ho Ngoc Ngoc briefly introduced the organizational structure as well as the training programs of UD member universities. In particular, MA. Ho Ngoc Ngoc also shared the research cooperation programs that have been conducted between UD and German universities and other universities in the world. Vice Director Ho Long Ngoc hoped that DAAD would be a bridge to help UD expand its cooperation with German partners in different areas such as German Language, Information Technology, and Business Administration. Especially, MA. Ho Ngoc Ngoc expressed her desire to open the German Language program at University of Foreign Language Studies – UD. The two sides continued to discuss conditions to apply for DAAD scholarships. Mr. Stefan Hase-Bergen also introduced University Leadership and Management Training Programme UNILEAD.

 

After the meeting, Mr. Stefan Hase-Bergen had a meeting with UD lecturers and students to introduce about experiences in studying and working in Germany as well as information about DAAD scholarship.

 

At the end of the meeting, MA. Ho Long Ngoc highly appreciated the readiness of Mr. Stefan Hase-Bergen to wider the cooperation with UD, especially in fields of teaching and research and expressed her determination to foster cooperative activities with potential German partners through concrete programs.
