During the business trip to Australia of the Danang city’s leaders led by Mr. Dang Viet Dung -the Standing Vice Chairman of Danang People's Committee from August 8th to August 16th, Danang city continued to develop the long lasting cooperation relationship in education with prestigious Australian universities. TheDanang city’s government had focused on exchanging and upgrading the cooperation agreements between Danang and Australia.

On August 14th, the delegation continued to work with University of Technology Sydney (UTS) to promote the high quality human resources training and scientific and technological mission; develop international cooperation projects to build smart cities; especially the establishment of Joint Technology and Innovation Research Center in Danang. The three parties also approved the decision of signing the 3-side MoU (UTS-UD-Danang) in the upcoming time.
For RMIT University- the largest Australian university, leaders of Danang city and RMIT agreed to hold several training courses in State management,start-up and innovation for officials and cadres of Danang city in Danang or Australia as well as organize specialized scientific research workshops in Danang; support Danang city in high quality human resources training and high quality short-term training.
It is known that in recent years, education has always been considered as a key field in the relationship between Danang and Australia. The city has signed many cooperation agreements on high-quality human resource development with Australian universities (University of Adelaide, University of Queensland, University of New South Wales and University of Melbourne). The number of students joined in the high quality human resources development project in Australia always accounts for the highest proportion. Up to now, there have been 169 turns of students sent to study in Australia, in which 119 turns of students have joined in undergraduate program, 39 in master program and 11 in doctoral program.
