HR4ASIA (Strategic Human Resources Management for Southeast Asian Universities) - a capacity building project under the Erasmus + Program funded by the European Community has been implemented in 3 years 2017-2019. The project is coordinated by the University of Danang (UD) with the participation of 04 European universities and 07 Asian universities (please visit http://hr4asia.eu for detailed information about the project).
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD – Representative of Coordinating Institution of the Project – delivered opening speech
At the opening session, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD, the Coordinating Institution of the project, expressed his special thanks to the partners who have accompanied UD during the past 3 years and sincere thanks to Quy Nhon University for hosting the Conference. “UD will continue to provide maximum support for the success of the next activities of the Project and look forward to continuous cooperation with partners to jointly propose and implement next projects in the future”- pledged Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Trung Hung – Vice Rector of University of Technology and Education – UD, Project Coordinator delivered speech at the Conference and AUN-HRM Network Launching
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Trung Hung, Vice Rector of University of Technology and Education – UD, Project Coordinator highlighted the typical activities implemented by the Project such as Kick-off Meeting in Danang; Benchmarking Visit in Siena (Italy) and Evora (Portugal); 4 Training Workshops in Hatyai (Thailand), Vientiane (Laos), Vilnius (Lithuania) and Siem Reap (Cambodia); Project Steering Committee meetings in Alicante (Spain), Bangkok (Thailand), Nong Penh (Cambodia); International conferences at Thamasat University (Thailand) and Quy Nhon University (Vietnam); Partner institutions have developed Round Tables to discuss human resource management issues; Southeast Asian partners have developed and applied the Human Resource Development Strategy and action plan; The project has developed an online training system for 4 courses on resource management; compiled and published a handbook for human resource management practice; ... At this conference, the Program Committee has selected 14 typical articles to print in a special issue of the Journal of Science and Technology of UD and invited authors to report at the Conference. Sincere thanks were given to UD and all partners for their active participation in the Project activities over the past time and believed in the further success of the Project.
Charter signing on establishment of Asean HRM Network
On behalf of the hosting institution, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Ngoc My - Rector of Quy Nhon University expressed his sincere thanks to the delegates for taking the time to attend the Conference, especially thank to UD for inviting Quy Nhon University to participate in the HR4ASIA Project and selecting Quy University Nhon as the venue for the Conference & Charter Signing Ceremony between the founding members of Asean HRM Network. The project has enabled Quy Nhon University to send dozens of staff to attend training courses, to visit advanced human resource management models in Europe and other countries in the region. Through the Project, Quy Nhon University has gradually built and completed the Human Resource Development Strategy to 2025 and vision to 2035. The University has developed an Action Plan for each year and applied some advanced human resource management models of European universities to improve the quality of human resources, training and scientific research.

At the Conference, participants listened to and discussed on 14 typical reports on issues related to human resource development and management at universities. In addition to the International Conference, Southeast Asian partners signed a Charter of co-founding the Human Resource Management Network of Southeast Asian Universities (HRM-AUN Network).
