University of Science and Education - The University of Danang successfully organized the International Science Conference on Knowledge and Systems Engineering (KSE-2019)



In order to share experiences, research results and promote the cooperation and exchange between scientists, in the morning of October 24, University of Science and Education-The University of Danang (UD) in collaboration with the University of Engineering and Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) organized the International Scientific Conference "Knowledge and Systems Engineering" in 2019 (KSE-2019). Attending the seminar, there were prestigious scientists and experts such as: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Prof. Dr. Sc. Dinh Dung from VNU Hanoi; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Le Minh, Prof. Ong Yew Soon; Prof. Akira Namatame; Prof. Sung Wook Baik; Prof. Jonathan Garibaldi; Prof. Mizuhito Ogawa... from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST). On the side of UD and University of Science and Education – UD, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Luu Trang-Rector of the University of Science and Education-UDand representatives and leaders of departments and offices of the University and nearly 120 delegates - scientists, lecturers and graduate students - from 30 domestic and foreign institutes and universities.

In the opening speech at the Conference, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Luu Trang - Rector of the University sent the best wishes to the delegates and scientists of the Conference who were interested and spent time attending the event at the University of Science and Education– UD, aslo emphasized the role and mission of scientific research activities contributing to the development of education and society as well as serving the development of science and community thanks to the transfer and update new knowledge. “University of Science and Education-UD has many policies to encourage lectures and students do scientific research with many different types and level as well as to facilitate and support the budget awards for international publication up to 200 million VND/ topic. As a result, the quantity and quality of scientific works of the University's staffs and lecturers have increased rapidly in recent years (ranked the second in the whole of UD and in the system of key education universities in the country)”, Assoc. Prof. Luu Trang shared.

Speaking at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – VNU shared: “KSE-2019 provides a forum and valuable opportunities for scientists and lecturers to discuss new issues in the fields of science, interdisciplinary majors, to connect and establish the cooperation in the fields of "Knowledge and systems engineering". The conference took place on October 24 and 25, 2019 with more than 70 scientific reports from domestic and foreign authors, including many outstanding reports on current affairs attracted the attention of experts and scholars such as: Type - 2 Fuzzy Systems For Human Decision Making; Introduction To Computational Origi; Towards “General Optimization Intelligence; Towards Real - Time Machine Learning and Edge Intelligence; Natural Language Processing in Thai: Past, Present and Future; Smart Cities Surveillance: Current Research Challenges and Future Directions... submitted by prestigious professors from countries such as the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Thailand to report and publish at this Conference.

On the sidelines of the KSE 2019 event, professors from the Japanese Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) had seminars on artificial intelligence (AI), natural language processing and software technology based on artificial intelligence. Professors from the University of Melbourne, Australia also had academic exchanges on the Internet of Things (IoT) and cyberspace for staffs, lecturers and students of the University with many new fundamental issues of the industrial networks 4.0 such as: Big data, natural language processing, text data systems, image and identity processing, Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing, interoperability Robotics and hot issues of network information security...
