At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Samuel Ang introduced the QS Intelligence organization as well as the QS world higher education rankings (Quacquarelli Symonds). Accordingly, QS World University Rankings is an annual ranking of the world university rankings of QS educational institutions. The QS rankings use a uniform methodology framework, compiled using six measures: academic reputation (40%), employer reputation (10%), faculty / students (20%), the number of scientific citations per lecturer (20%), the percentage of international lecturers (5%), the proportion of international students (5%).

In addition to the QS Rankings, QS also assesses the quality of main university education through the type of Starring (US Stars). Universities participating in the star rating are ranked in from 1 to 5 stars. Participating in accreditation according to QS's rankings, universities must undergo strict evaluation of this organization on many standards, including: core standards, learning environment standards, expertise standards, advanced standards. Up to now, many prestigious universities in the world and Vietnam have participated in testing and starred “US Stars”.

Assoc. DUE-UD is always aware of the importance of the quality of higher education and believes that participating in QS Ranking as well as starring QS Stars will be the goal which the school will look forward to in the future. DUE-UD will continue to discuss and ask the QS Intelligence representative for advice and support to participate in the QS rankings.

The two sides discussed in detail the conditions for rating registration and technical actions to be taken when providing data to QS Intelligence. Achieving the ranking of QS Intelligence organization is DUE-UD’s affirmation in its work of improving the quality of education and integration into regional and international education.
