Assoc. Prof. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) welcomed and worked with the delegation of Artevelde University of Applied Sciences, Belgium (AUAS) including Mr. Pieterjan Bonne – Strategic alliance officer Vietnam, Ms. Bea Paelman and Mr. Jan Zuliani – Officers of International Cooperation Office. Attending the meeting, there were senior representatives of Research and Development Department-UD; International Cooperation Department and UD’s member universities and affiliations.
At the meeting, Mr. Pieterjan Bonne - Strategic alliance officer Vietnam expressed his pleasure to visit UD as well as be interested in exploring opportunities for joint international training programs in International Media Management and International Business Administration. The representatives of AUAS also introduced the highlights of the University and shared the development orientation to promote the international students training; increase the number of programs taught in English, short-term programs, advanced programs, joint programs and double degree programs to raise the number of international students studying at AUAS. On this occasion, AUAS expressed its pleasure to establish a cooperative relationship between the two sides to enhance the opportunities for exchange programs and internships for students.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD introduced briefly the strengths and cooperation potentials of UD. UD has attached special attention to develop international cooperation with many prestigious universities in the world, including universities of Belgium and Europe. Especially, lecturers and students mobility and joint international training are one of the effective cooperation orientations. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Le Quang Son also highly appreciated the cooperative orientation in international training and student exchange program of AUAS, which is appropriate and feasible for UD because the two universities have the same needs, potential and experiences of cooperation with many prestigious universities in the world.

At the meeting, the senior representative of International Cooperation Department-UD also introduced the Erasmus + Program, which UD is presiding over and proposed that the two sides would work together to search for projects from the funds funded by the European Community in the fields of education and science to increase human resources, expand cooperation and promote the lecturer and student exchange programs as well. At the end of the meeting, the two sides acknowledged the needs and common interests, and assigned the relevant departments to study and develop joint activities in the upcoming time.
Artevelde University of Applied Sciences, Kingdom of Belgium was founded in 2000 (merged from four local applied sciences universities), currently a member of the Ghent Association, with 13.000 students, 1.300 cadres and lecturers at 12 campuses, having cooperation relationship with nearly 1.000 international partners around the world.
