On the afternoon of December 4th, 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) welcomed and worked with Assoc. Prof. Mario Cools - Department of Transport and Logistics, The University of Liège (UL), Kingdom of Belgium. Attending the meeting were representatives of International Cooperation Department and relevant units.
It is known that at the end of May 2019, the delegation of UD and its member universities had a working trip to UL to explore the cooperation opportunities in the field of Logistics, Sea transport as well as French language training program to build a French teaching center at UD.
At the meeting on December 04th, Assoc. Prof. Mario Cools and UD's leaders continued to discuss the promotion of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to implement effectively cooperative activities between the 02 universities, including: exchange lecturers and students; co-participate in Erasmus + program; co-submit the project of Wallonie Brussels 2020 Community for teaching French (FLE); expand the content of cooperation to build a dual degree training program between Faculty of Architecture Engineering – University of Science and Technology, UD and UL. It is known that this is the model that UL has implemented with Cambodian Institute of Communication Technology.
At the end of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son highly appreciated the form of joint training program between UD and UL and assigned the relevant departments to continue discussing in detail, drafting a MoU to soon implement the signing ceremony between the two sides, contributing to strengthening and developing international cooperation activities of UD.

It is known that Assoc. Prof. Mario Cools worked and taught at University of Economics – UD. He has published a number of scientific articles on logistics in Da Nang. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Mario Cools will be also a keynote speaker at International Conference on Management and Business which would be organized by University of Economics-UD in collaboration with Cork Institute of Technology, Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, The University of Liège and National Economics University on December 6th, 2019.
The University of Liège, Kingdom of Belgium is the only public university in Belgium using French in training program with 11 units at 4 campuses. The training disciplines include Architecture and Culture, Social Sciences and Humanities, Science and Technology, Art and Engineering, Architectural design, Urban and landscape planning.
