On the morning of February 18, 2020, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD), chaired the meeting with Mr. Peter Vesterbacka - Finnish businessman and his assistant Ms. Katherine Cao. Attending the meeting, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of IT College, UD, representatives of International Cooperation Department, Vietnam - UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, Software Development Center and Faculty of Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, University of Science and Education - UD.
Overview of the meeting
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in the fields of education and technology, especially the start-up and innovation between UD and partner companies in Finland. Entrepreneur Peter Vesterbacka expressed his joy when visiting UD and shared his desire to connect UD to Finnish educational institutions and enterprises to implement a project on training preschool teachers, training primary education teachers as well as supporting the promotion of entrepreneurship in the university.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD acknowledged and appreciated the goodwill and suggestions of Entrepreneur Peter Vesterbacka, and expressed his desire to develop cooperation between the university and businesses in Finland - a country with advanced education in Europe and the world. Representatives in the meeting also exchanged information, proposed a number of cooperation orientations, opening up opportunities for exchanging lecturers and students, training joint degree programs (2 + 2, 3 + 1), training preschool teachers, primary education combined with internships, professional experience in Finland.

Entrepreneur Peter Vesterbacka shared his readiness to connect UD and related member units to apply the Fun Learning model to train teachers resources for Danang City, and at the same time ready to join activities to stimulate innovation entrepreneurship for students, creating opportunities for UD's students to practice at startup companies, introducing high-quality human resources to work in Finland as well as the Nordic and Baltic region. At the end of the meeting, the two sides acknowledged the proposals, agreed on some common cooperation directions and will continue to coordinate specific implementation in the coming time.
