The University of Danang continued to raise its ranking, reaching the top 400 leading Asian universities according to QS-Asia 2020


According to the latest updated data of the prestigious university ranking list of Quacquarelli Symonds, United Kingdom (QS University Ranking-2020), the University of Danang (UD) continued to increase its rankings, reaching the top 400 leading universities in Asia. UD is currently in the top 401-450, however, according to the QS University Ranking-2020 Chart, UD's promotion and ranking in 2020 have approached top 400.

This was an important achievement thanks to the non-stop and comprehensive efforts of UD as well as its member universities, which have contributed to improve the evaluation indicators according to the international university ranking standards, including: Academic reputation; the prestige of graduates’ quality for employers; the ratio of lecturers/ students, international research network, citations for each published research paper of students and lecturers ... and some other indicators including: lecturers with doctoral degrees, the ratio of international lecturers and international students, the proportion of domestic student exchange and foreign student exchange.


In particular, this year's outstanding is the evaluation of international scientific publication when UD has achieved the criteria of Paper per Faculty (the average number of articles per lecturer) of 2.7 and Citation per Paper (the number of average citation for each article) of 53.7 (on a 100-point scale).



UD has many good international indexes


Since 2018, UD has been ranked 03 times consecutively in the top 500 best Asian universities by QS. In 2019, UD was in the top 451-500 and top 08 leading universities in Vietnam named in the top 500 according to QS Asia-2019. In 2020, UD will continue to raise its ranking in the top 401-450, close to top 400 and rise to the top 6 leading universities in Vietnam according to QS Asia-2020 including Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh city (ranked 143rd in Asia ); Vietnam National University, Hanoi ( ranked 147th in Asia); Ton Duc Thang University (ranked 207th in Asia); Hanoi University of Science and Technology (261-270 in Asia); the University of Danang and Can Tho University (401-450 in Asia).
