With the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, under the direction and recommendations of the authorities, the Covid 19 Anti-epidemic Steering Committee informed students to take time off from university to prevent the spread. In order to ensure the plan, the content of the program and maintain the learning spirit for students, University of Science and Technology – the University of Danang (DUT-UD) has proactively implemented online teaching and learning through the DUT-LMS system.
Deploying online education during the prevention of Covid-19
The implementation of online teaching and learning was applied by the University in early February 2020. The university has agreed thepolicy of implementing online teaching and learning during the break time to prevent the Covid 19 epidemic. On March 03rd, 2020, DUT-UD has organized training instructors to post lectures on the LMS online teaching system with the participation of nearly 70 university officials and lecturers. Through training, lecturers were instructed to practice using the functions of the LMS system to update and post lectures for students to study online.

In order to make the online learning on the DUT-LMS system more effective, more accessible to all students, the University will continue to promote the progress of updating the lecture slides every week (with audio and video recording) to help students conveniently acquire and grasp knowledge. In addition, lecturers will set up forums and study groups to attract and guide students to exchange and discuss.

On March 9th, 2020, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of the University chaired the virtual meeting on promoting online teaching and learning activities with the participation of all leaders of Offices, Faculties involved at the video bridges. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Doan Quang Vinh has directed units to deploy information widely to all students through a variety of communication channels (website, social networks, direct contact ...) to raise the awareness that online learning is "compulsory" for students, and at the same time promulgate provisional regulations and regulations applying online learning for motivated students with serious and effective learning attitudes avoiding affecting the quality and progress of study in the break period to prevent Covid 19 epidemics. Previously, the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology also organized the protection of the topic (Capstone Project) online with the participation of councils of lecturers and experts from related businesses.
