Students of The University of Danang won the award of Hult Prize Vietnam startup training course


Overcoming 16 other teams of Vietnam to the Hult Prize Southeast Asia Final Round 2020, recently, the project of a group of students "Micway" from University of Science and Technology and University of Science and Education - The University of Danang (UD) won the "The best pitching team" Award of the Hult Prize Vietnam Startup Training. "The best pichting team" can be understood as the startup group presenting ideas to investors in order to call for the best funding.


The project of UD students group focused on the application of microbiological biotechnology to create biological products – Biomes- to treat the odour of poultry waste and prevent disease in livestock. In addition, the group has also created Biom organic fertilizer, specializing in fertilizing spice plants, which has met the Vietnam Standard 7185: 2002 for micro-organic fertilizer.


UD students won the Hult Prize Vietnam


Having undergone a training course (07 weeks), the Micway project won four consecutive weeks and won a prize (05 million VND) from the Hult Prize Vietnam Organizing Committee, thereby honored to participate with 16 teams of Vietnam participated in the Hult Prize Southeast Asia Final Round 2020, scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from April 9-11.


The Hult Prize is an annual social career award for students from around the world, sponsored by the United Nations and the former US President Bill Clinton. The theme of this year's award is "Building startups that have a net impact on s our planet with every dollar earned."
