Hitachi Systems Vietnam in collaboration with University of Science and Technology-The University of Danang to build "Smart lab 4.0"

On the morning of May 28, 2020, University of Science and Technology-The University of Danang (DUT-UD) had a meeting with Hitachi Systems Vietnam Co., Ltd. on building a smart laboratory - "Smart lab 4.0". Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of DUT-UD presided over the meeting and worked with the delegation.

 

 

The objective of this smart lab was to develop a training program for the 4.0 technology industry; train faculty to meet the requirements of new training program; teach practical skills as well as expand vision and creative thinking in building solutions, optimizing and saving production costs for students to meet the requirements of career in the future.

Representatives of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics – Telecommunications Engineering, FAST presented several information about the current training programs, facilities system as well as suggestions for the laboratory with representatives of Hitachi Systems Vietnam.

 

Field survey

 

A built-in digital industry laboratory would simulate and practice the operations of a digital factory. This laboratory created a professional practice environment for students of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics – Telecommunications Engineering, FAST; helped students access to theory, automation technology and digitization on applications for the most advanced industries. In particular, the solutions from Hitachi including PLM, CAD / CAM / CAE, TIA, Mentor Mechanical Analysis ... were the leading product life-cycle management and automation soft wares in the world.

 

 

In the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Doan Quang Vinh shared that when completed and put into use, this smart laboratory project would definitely support students in studying, scientific research and reality practices. Thereby DUT-UD’s students had a great opportunity to not only access to the most modern technology which was being applied in production process of leading companies and corporations in the world, but also train the skills of 4.0 engineers for students.
