The students group from the Faculty of Architecture, the UD’s University of Science and Technology, excellently won the runner-up of the competition with unique theme and design: “Vision – Awesomeness – Soul – Happiness”. The group aims at space solutions, traffic modification, design and facilities, renovation of “forgotten” space to be Lok Hing Lane Garden which is a space with “storytelling” architecture.
A corner of the space that needs to be upgraded.
With unique creative design ideas and solutions, the project of the students from the UD’s University of Science and Technology not only changes the situation of lacking public cultural spaces (for many reasons of complexion, history and institution), but also enhances the community spirit, brings new emotions to residents and builds a high quality, energetic public space. “No man purchases a book if it does not have any words. The same goes for architecture. Who will genuinely love a place if there is no story being told and no feeling being touch?”, (extracted from the project’s explanation on the competition’s website).
Unique design idea of the students from the UD’s University of Science and Technology.
