VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, the University of Danang held the Graduation Ceremony for the first cohort of graduates

On the morning of June 27, 2020, VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, the University of Danang (UD-VNUK) solemnly held the Graduation Ceremony for students at the Conference Hall of Danang Administration Center. This was the first cohort of graduates of the undergraduate training program in International Business Administration and Computer Science Engineering.

Attending the ceremony, there were Assoc. Prof. Le Thanh Bac – Vice President of UD; Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau - Deputy Director of Danang Department of Science and Technology; Ms. Hoang Van Anh - Director of Education and Society of British Council in Vietnam; Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong – Rector of VNUK, senior representatives of UD’s functional departments, senior representatives of businesses, associations, high schools in Da Nang city and all VNUK’s officials and lecturers, parents and students.

At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong – VNUK’s Rector gave a congratulation to 19 new graduates together with their family and relatives in the joy of being honored to receive the undergraduate diploma. The VNUK’s Rector Nguyen Thi My Huong also acknowledged the efforts of new graduates during their study and research, not only fulfilling their professional requirements and English proficiency, but also participating in Internship programs (from the 2nd year), academic exchanges abroad, especially with the support and companionship of many enterprises. VNUK’s graduates who had enough competence and knowledge could be able to start up in a global business environment. This was a strong point, a difference in VNUK's training strategy when connecting with enterprises to develop and implement the training programs.

Assoc. Prof. Le Thanh Bac – UD’s Vice President highly appreciated the outstanding results of VNUK’s staff, lecturers and students as well as the impression of the first-course graduates. On this occasion, the UD’s Vice President expressed his desire and his belief that the leaders, officers and lecturers (well-trained from prestigious foreign universities) would continue to innovate continuously and update advanced knowledge and methods of teaching and learning to invest in human resources and facilities to build a solid premise for the strategic development of becoming an international university in the future.

 

Ms. Hoang Van Anh - Director of Education and Society of British Council in Vietnam delivered a remark

 

With a role as a representative of British Council in Vietnam-a VNUK's strategic partner, Ms. Hoang Van Anh - Director of Education and Society of British Council expressed her pleasure at VNUK's initial successes since the establishment of VNUK in 2014. According toMs. Hoang Van Anh, on the way to develop into an international university with the interest and support of leaders, VNUK was becoming a bright spot for the education and training cooperation. This really made sense when 2020 was also the year marking 10 years of VN-UK Strategic Partnership, which VNUK was a vivid evidence.

It is known that VNUK currently offers 05 undergraduate programs (International Business Administration, International Hospitality and Tourism Management, Computer Science Engineering, Data Science, Biomedical Science). VNUK is promoting to complete the proposal to become the first International Public University under the management of UD in the Central area- Western Highlands region.
