The University of Danang summarized and concluded the Training Workshop on “Practicing of building and self-assessment of training programs for education quality accreditation”

 

On the morning of June 28, 2020, the University of Danang (UD) concluded in the closing ceremony of the Training Workshop "Practicing of building and self-assessment of training programs for education quality accreditation". After 2 days of training, more than 150 leaders, managers and lecturers from 43 universities and colleges of the North, Central and South regions had the opportunity to exchange, learn, exchange useful experiences in order to apply the necessary knowledge and skills in quality assurance and educational accreditation in their units. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet, Director of Quality Assurance Department, UD (also a rapporteur for the Program), presented the certificates to the participants who completed the course.

The Organization Committee’s representatives of the Training Workshop  acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit and effort to complete the course, contributed many opinions to share experience and in fact the units contributed to the continuous renovation of building and assessment for the training programs of educational institutions. 

 

Through the Training Workshop, participants were equipped, updated and supplemented with new knowledge while developing their practical skills in writing self-assessment report of training programs, analyzing the level of meeting the benchmark standards as well as minimum sources of evidence self-assessment report; based on that, giving directions and improvement tools for internal quality assurance as well as preparing the best for the educationalaccreditation in universities in the coming time, especially for the new testing cycles for the period 2020-2025. Participants completed the training course were certified by the Organizing Committee.

The remarkable new feature of this training course was that the UD's Quality Assurance Department had collected the feedback of students, considered it as a criterion to constantly improve the content and method of organizing the training course more and more effective. According to Dr. Hoang Thi Thu Giang, Vice Rector of Ha Long University, building and self-assessment of training programs are very important to the university. “The content and training program is very useful for Ha Long University... The team of rapporteurs of the training workshop are professional and qualified… This is also an opportunity for higher education institutions to establish a network to support each other in later inspection work."

Most of the delegates highly appreciated the effectiveness of the content and training method of UD. PhD. Le Duc Thoang - Vice Rector of Phu Yen University said: "This training workshop is very practical and useful for the university". PhD. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Rector of Kien Giang University said: “I find this training course very useful not only as a manager but also for lecturers in improving the training quality of university."

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet, the training course had achieved the set goals to guide, unify the review and improvement for quality assurance in developing and evaluating suitable training programs, meeting the output standards, thereby education institutions had more knowledge, skills and experience to provide orientation, innovative solutions to not only internal quality assurance but also preparing the best for the educationalaccreditation in universities, according to the new accreditation cycle period 2020 -2025.
