The University of Danang received World Bank’s grant to enhance training and research capabilities

Recently, the World Bank (WB)’s Board of Executive Directors has approved the grant of USD 295 million for the Higher Education Development Project in Vietnam which aims to contribute to enhancing the training and research capabilities of the University of Danang (UD) and Vietnam National University (VNU) – Hanoi and VNU-HCM City.

 

The UD always works closely with the WB.

 

Through the project’s investment, it will help the three leading universities in Vietnam strengthen state-of-the-art infrastructure, cutting-edge equipments in the orientation of integration and greenness, prepare for digital transformation and knowledge transfer to improve the competitiveness and international integration.

The Vietnam Higher Education Development Project has been implemented at three leading universities in the North, Central and South regions to address some key challenges faced by the higher education system.

 

The Hoa Quy – Dien Ngoc University Urban Area always received attention of leaders of the Government and the Ministry of Education and Training.

 

With the investments from the Government and the WB in the new development period, the UD will mobilize all resources to accelerate the construction of the University Urban Area in Hoa Quy – Dien Ngoc under the UD’s development plan until 2025, with a vision to 2035, to become a prestigious and top-ranked university in Vietnam, reaching regional and Asia levels.

 

The UD’s President worked with partners on the WB’s project.

 

The participation in this important and strategic project presents the prestige, efforts and determination of the UD in the country’s education renovation and development, as well as the accomplishment of mission objectives that are clearly stated in the amended Law on Higher Education: “Regional universities carry out national tasks and regional development strategies for the country”.
