Recently, University of Science and Technology - the University of Danang (UD) has promoted cooperation with foreign enterprises to build and transfer laboratories for experiment, practice and scientific research in hi-tech fields.
The SMC funded the University to build an automation lab.
The SMC Automation Lab (funded by Japan's SMC Group) is located at the Institute for Mechanical and Automation Engineering and equipped with 5 automation - pneumatics practice stations, 5 experiment kits of pneumatic engineering as well as cross-sectional models of pneumatic equipments for teaching and practicing with the total value of VND 1.5 billion.
The SMC Group Vietnam also signed an agreement with University of Science and Technology - UD on scholarships and equipments support program for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to implement graduation projects.
UAC Vietnam's representatives worked with the University.
The Aviation Engineering Lab which is being operated by the Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC) Vietnam in cooperation with the University, aims to train high-quality human resource for the UAC's investment projects of manufacturing aerospace components in Danang.
According to Mr. Liviu Lese - UAC Vietnam's CEO, along with the cooperation in developing a laboratory serving this year training of the new major of aviation mechanical engineering, the UAC continues to send reputable and experienced experts to study the probability of supporting necessary practical equipments for students. At the same time, the group will implement the 5-axis programming training for new graduates majoring in manufacturing engineering, which serves the human resources need of the UAC's Sunshine Aerospace Components Manufacturing Plant.
Hitachi Systems Vietnam's representatives worked with the University.
Earlier, the Vietnam branch of Hitachi Systems - a technical solutions provider for domestic and foreign-invested factories and enterprises in Japan, signed a cooperation agreement to become a strategic partner providing the 4th Industrial Revolution-standard training solutions for University of Science and Technology - UD with the focus on implementing the smart laboratory project (Smart Lab 4.0).
The University of Science and Technology promoted investments in modern experiment equipments.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh, Rector of University of Science and Technology - UD, shared that the cooperation with businesses is a traditional and strategic strength of the University, especially in its road to become a leading research university in Vietnam as well as in the region and the world.
The cooperation projects to develop these hi-tech laboratories, once put into operation, will contribute to improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning innovations based on advanced methods that the University has been implementing (PBL, CDIO, Capstone, Learning Express, etc.). They will definitely support students in learning, doing scientific research as well as practicing and approaching the most modern technologies which are being applied in leading companies and corporations around the world.
