Senior Leaders of the University of Danang attended the 65th Governing Board meeting of SEAMEO Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology

 

On October 19th & 20th, 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son-Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) attended the 65th Governing Board meeting of SEAMEO Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology. Attending the meeting, there were also representatives of UD's International Cooperation Department.

This meeting was organized to exchange and share information and experiences among SEAMEO members, as well as deployed the election session of President and Vice President of SEAMEO INNOTECH in the context that the higher education,  science and technology of Southeast Asian countries were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the meeting, Vice President Le Quang Son emphasized that the UD’s key role and strategy in proactively adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic in recent years were to carry out the dual goal to ensure not only the quality of teaching- learning progress but also school safety, actively do research and transfer many useful innovative products to serve the community in Covid-19 prevention and control.

UD promoted the application of new technologies and digital transformation in higher education from enrolling students, improving the quality of training and scientific research, organizing online scientific events and seminars to accompanying students to overcome difficulties; accessing advanced knowledge, information and supporting useful services for learners.


UD’s Vice President Le Quang Son shared his idea

Vice President Le Quang Son also proposed several effective solutions to promote the lecturer and student exchange programs; co-organize online scientific seminars and short-term joint training programs... thereby enhancing the cooperation relationship among institutional partnersof SEAMEO INNOTECH

Attendees discussed and agreed on annual reports, financial statements, evaluation of projects and initiatives under the framework of SEAMEO INNOTECH relating to learning and development programs in the region; activities of the Research and Innovation Fund; activities of network marketing, technology infrastructure and human resource management development...

The active participation of UD confirmed

its international role and prestige in regional higher education

 

On this occasion, the SEAMEO INNOTECH Governing board announced the Southeast Asian Education Innovation Award and resolved many other important issues.

SEAMEO INNOTECH is one of the three regional centers of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization, in which the Governing board consists of representatives of Southeast Asian countries.
