The University of Danang boosted cooperation with Tunku Abdul Rahman University, Malaysia
On October 14, 2021, the University of Danang (UD) signed a Cooperation Agreement with Tunku Abdul Rahman University, Malaysia (TAR UC). The signing ceremony was held online with the co-chairs of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD and Prof. Dr. Lee Sze Wei-President of UTAR.

Attendees were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Say Sok Kwan - Vice President of TAR UC in charge of governance and international affairs, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Wong Hwa Kiong - In charge of academics and quality assurance, and representative leaders of relevant departments and centers of the two universities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD acknowledged and appreciated the significance of the signing between the two universities in Southeast Asia, considering this a milestone to promote the potential and strengths of each side, bringing mutual benefits in the fields of academic and scientific research cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Lee Sze Wei, - President of TAR UC delivered a speech
At the meeting point at UTAR, Prof. Dr. Lee Sze Wei - President of TAR UC expressed his pleasure to officially become partner of UD, thereby promoting cooperation in higher education to meet the needs and trends of international integration. “We believe the cooperation between TAR UC and UD will significantly contribute to fostering and developing the close cooperation relationship between Malaysia and Vietnam in the ASEAN community” – expressed President of TAR UC.
Delegates witnessed the signing of the MOU
According to the recently signed cooperation agreement, the priorities shall be given to the promotion of research and academic exchange, lecturers and experts exchange, and development of 2+2 or 3+1 joint training programs in Accounting, Finance-Banking, Financial Investment, etc. thereby creating opportunities for students to be awarded the dual degree and transfer training at a higher level.
The signing of a cooperation agreement contributes to the integration and internationalization of higher education in the ASEAN region
The two universities also agreed on the orientation to cooperate in organizing international scientific conferences, seminars and short-term exchange activities, creating opportunities to promote academic and cultural exchange for students.

TAR UC is one of the universities with a long tradition and prestige in Malaysia, honored to be named after the first Prime Minister YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. TAR UC currently has a training scale of about 27,000 students with training facilities in Kuala Lumpur and the states of Johor, Perak, Pulau Pinang, Pahang and Sabah.
