The University of Danang cooperated with the Ministry of Information and Communications to exhibit map and document display "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence"

On November 2, at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology - The University of Danang (VKU), the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the University of Danang (UD) held an exhibition of map and document display "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence".

At the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Duong - Vice President of UD highlighted the important meaning of the exhibition as an opportunity to improve the efficiency of information and propaganda activities on Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa, Truong Sa archipelagos through documents, maps, images, objects, etc.

The Vice President of UD highly appreciated that the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Organizing Committee had chosen VKU under UD as the venue to host this meaningful exhibition. The Vice President of UD also wanted UD’s member universities, affiliated units to disseminate and introduce for a large number of UD’s staff, lecturers and students as well as organizations, agencies and schools in the city to have the opportunity to visit the exhibition, thereby demonstrating solidarity, sense of responsibility to join hands in protecting the sovereignty of sea and islands of the country.

The exhibition is a positive propaganda occasion of

national sovereignty over the sea and islands

According to the representative of the Exhibition Organizing Committee, Vice Director of the Department of Background Information - Ministry of Information and Communications Tran Thi Quoc Hien emphasized: The exhibition introduces and disseminates documents, historical and legal evidence to further affirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.

This was one of the important and meaningful activities with information and propaganda activities contributing to educating the love of the homeland and the country, and raising awareness, responsibility and action of today's generation towards the work of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the country.

The exhibition displays many valuable materials

The exhibition was held on the campus of VKU-UD from November 2 to November 4, 2020, displaying and introducing a collection of more than 100 Atlas maps (of Vietnam, China and Western countries related to sovereignty of Vietnam) over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.

Especially, the documents issued by the Vietnamese feudal court (from the 17th century to the beginning of the 20th century), affirmed the process of establishing, implementing and defending Vietnam's continuous sovereignty over the two archipelagos Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.

The exhibition attracts many students to visit and learn 

The exhibition introduced many valuable documents with legal and historical value such as: "History of Vietnam" drawing set; documents about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa through the periods; documents, artifacts, images related to the process of fighting to protect the sovereignty of sea and islands and 3D presentation and other multimedia applications.

The program also organized exchanges between officials, lecturers, students with experts and researchers on the East Sea, thereby answering and providing more information related to sovereignty of sea and islands, especially Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
