The University of Danang is ranked 3rd among the top universities rewarded by the Ministry of Education and Training for scientific articles published in prestigious international journals in 2020
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has issued a decision to reward 34 public universities for having many scientific articles that were published in prestigious international journals in 2020. The University of Danang (UD) is ranked 3rd with 311 articles (with a total reward of 960 million VND).
Evaluation and reward criteria are based on articles published in ISI, SCI, SCIE journals and aim to promote, encourage staff and lecturers – especially ones at research-oriented universities - to research and publish internationally.
The UD hosted a conference of the MOET.
In the past year, with many effective policies and solutions such as the implementation of the UD’s Science and Technology Development Fund, the intensification of cooperation agreements with localities (Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Kon Tum), the UD has received the 2-fold total funding for science and technology topics, had more than 300 topics at all levels, 420 internationally-published articles.
Especially, the number of excellent international publications (Scopus Q1) increased 3 times. The UD is among top 3 Vietnamese universities that achieved high score of “Citation per Paper” on the QS Universities Rankings.
Other MOET-rewarded universities that have a high number of international articles include: Hanoi University of Science and Technology (491 articles, with a total reward of 1.5 billion VND), Hue University (321 articles, 976 million VND), Thai Nguyen University (236 articles, 722 million VND), etc.
