The University of Danang’s students achieved excellent results at the Informatics Olympics for Students and the International Collegiate Programming Competition 2020

From December 8 to 11, at the 29th Informatics Olympics for Students (IOS) and the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) 2020, the University of Danang (UD)’s students achieved excellent results in several categories.

At the 29th IOS, students from University of Science and Technology – UD won the 1st prize and a 2nd prize for IT-majored groups, two 2nd prizes and a consolation prize for non-IT majored groups.

Students from Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology – UD for the first time participated in this competition and won the 3rd prize for IT-majored groups and a consolation prize for non-IT majored ones.

At the 2020 ICPC, students from University of Science and Technology – UD (Phan Dinh Khoi, Vo Hoang Long, Huynh Tan Y) won the ICPC Championship in the Central region and achieved a national ICPC’s 2nd prize.

Meanwhile, students from Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology – UD got the 3rd prize in the Central region and theconsolation prize at national-level contest.

This year the IOS brought together more than 700 students from 64 universities and colleges throughout the country as well as students from several Asian countries and territories.

The ICPC is an intellectual playground that has been held 15 times so far to recruit Vietnamese students to participate in the international-level ICPC. It emphasizes the critical thinking development in combination with programming skills and teamwork.
