Expanding cooperation and bridging international student exchanges within the ASEAN region

13/06/2026

From June 1 to June 12, 2026, a delegation of students from the University of Danang - University of Economics  (UD-DUE) had the opportunity to participate in the program “DUE & FBA KMUTNB Cultural Exchange and Knowledge Sharing 2026” at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) in Thailand.

According to Dr. Bui Huynh Nguyen, Vice Head of the Research & International Cooperation Department, this activity was organized within the framework of cooperation between the UD-DUE and KMUTNB.

As part of its strategy to internationalize higher education, the University has always placed a strong emphasis on expanding partnerships with international universities. Among these, the ASEAN region remains a key focus due to geographical advantages and cultural similarities.

Through cultural and language exchange programs, students are given more opportunities to access and experience a multicultural academic environment, thereby enhancing their integration capabilities and broadening their international vision.

Within the framework of the program,  students from UD-DUE also explored the topic of "Design Thinking" under the guidance of experts and lecturers from KMUTNB.

This valuable content helps students develop their thinking, design capabilities, and practical problem-solving skills, thereby fostering innovative ideas, products, and projects aligned with the demands of the modern business context.

In addition, activities such as teamwork, discussions, presentations, and project defenses enabled students to sharpen their professional and integration skills, while enhancing their communication and foreign language proficiency alongside Thai students.

Furthermore, students from UD-DUE participated in a field trip to survey local development needs in Rayong Province. Here, they experienced the unique cultural traits of the local people, bridging cultural diversity with historical academics, and proposed business models tailored to the practical conditions of the ASEAN region.

The values and achievements gained from this journey extend far beyond the Certificates of Completion. The program has opened up broader opportunities for international exchange and capacity building, empowering students to become confident global citizens ready to master knowledge on their path toward international integration.
