The opening ceremony for the second cohort of the Information Technology Engineer/Bachelor program (bilingual Korean-Vietnamese) - Korean BRSE

On the morning of August 14, 2024, the University of Danang, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU), organized the opening ceremony for the second cohort of the Information Technology Engineer/Bachelor program (bilingual Korean-Vietnamese). This event marked a significant step in training high-quality human resources to meet the growing demands of the labor market, particularly the Korean market.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony of the Information Technology Engineer/Bachelor Program (Bilingual Korean-Vietnamese)

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of FPT Software Central, there were Mr. Phan Trung Diep – Head of the Human Resources Department of FPT Software Central Region, Mr. Le Truong Hieu – Head of Talent Recruitment Department, Mr. Ho Duc Linh – Project Manager of Engineer Training Program, Ms. Luong Thu Ha – Deputy Head of Foreign Language Training Department, Ms. Luong Thi Boi Ngoc – Head of Foreign Language Course Operation Department, Ms. Le Thi Thanh – Korean Lecturer. On behalf of UD-VKU, there were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector and head of Global Program Coordination Board, along with Representatives of the Leaders of Faculties, Departments, Centers of the University, lecturers, more than 100 students majoring in Information Technology, of which 62 students were selected to participate in the second cohort (Class 22KIT) of the Information Technology Engineer/Bachelor training program (Korean-Vietnamese bilingual).

In his speech at the ceremony, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Vice Rector and Head of the Global Program Coordination Committee, extended his congratulations and gratitude to FPT Software Central Region for their interest, collaboration, and support in developing this training program. He emphasized that with the significant demand for high-quality human resources, especially in the Korean market, students participating in this program would have numerous opportunities for personal and career development after graduation. UD-VKU was committed to internationalizing its training activities and has collaborated with various partners to implement bilingual English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, and Korean-Vietnamese training programs, notably the bilingual Korean-Vietnamese Information Technology Engineer/Bachelor program.

The second cohort of the bilingual Korean-Vietnamese Information Technology Engineer/Bachelor program (Class 22KIT) had successfully selected 62 IT students (both Engineering and Bachelor levels). FPT Software Central Region would provide 100% tuition support for Korean language courses, Korean language learning materials, and other preferential policies during their studies and recruitment. In addition to Korean language training, students would receive specialized training from the company’s experts to enhance their practical knowledge, achieve TOPIK level 3 in Korean, and be ready to take on jobs immediately after completing the program.

Representing FPT Software Central Region, Mr. Phan Trung Diep, Head of Human Resources Assurance Department, briefly introduced the content and objectives of the cohort, stating that through Korean language training, the program also provides additional professional knowledge; fosters critical thinking and skills necessary to work in Korean companies, organizations, and businesses in the IT field. He encouraged students to always strive to learn and assured that FPT Software Central Region would accompany and support them throughout their studies to ensure the best outcomes.

Representing Class 22KIT, student Le Tang Phu Quy expressed his excitement about participating in the bilingual Korean-Vietnamese Information Technology Engineer/Bachelor program supported by FPT Software Central Region. He shared that through this program, students had many opportunities to learn the Korean language, gain specialized knowledge, and develop teamwork, communication, and professional work habits, contributing to their personal and professional development for the future.

The collaboration between UD-VKU and FPT Software Central Region in training bilingual Korean-Vietnamese IT Engineers/Bachelors not only offered high-quality educational opportunities for students but also opened up vast career opportunities in the international market, particularly in Korea. The combination of professional knowledge and language skills would empower UD-VKU students to confidently face challenges and seize new opportunities in the IT sector. This represented a crucial step in the mission to train high-quality human resources that meet the demands of the integration era and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
