The University of Danang organized a training course on "The Designing of Effective Course to meet Output Standards"

 

From December 23-24, 2023, the University of Danang (UD) organized the training course on "The Designing of Effective Course to meet Output Standards", attracting more than 100 leaders, staff, and lecturers from 31 universities/institutes and colleges in the whole country.

The conference gathered more than 100 participants who were staff,

leaders, managers, and officers in the

areas of quality assurance, inspection, and training

of more than 30 schools and institutes nationwide

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, more than 30 universities/institutes and colleges sent officials and lecturers to participate in the training course from most regions and localities across the country, including 04 participants from the Rectorate board; 39 cadres were representatives of functional departments such as Training, Testing, Education Quality Assurance; 25 cadres were leaders of faculties and officers in related fields.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Vice President Le Quang Son sent greetings to all delegates, officials, and lecturers at universities/institutes and colleges who attended and accompanied UD in quality assurance activities from the quality of educational institutions to training programs.

The meaning and purpose of this training course was to equip participants with knowledge and practical skills in quality assurance mission, focusing on designing and building training programs according to output standards. Vice President Le Quang Son also said that this was an opportunity for leaders, managers, and lecturers to meet, interact, and exchange experiences from schools/institutes and facilities; removing obstacles and shortcomings so as to increasingly improve the internal quality assurance system; self-assessment and quality assurance of training programs according to domestic and international standards.

Vice President Le Quang Son shared that in the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution with the trend of integration and globalization, the quality of human resource training has decisive significance to the reputation and academic performance of educational institutions; the competitiveness of each country.

in the education quality assurance mission between

universities/institutes and colleges throughout the country

Deeply aware of the role, position, and mission of training high-quality human resources, with innovative thinking, creative capacity, rich in humanity, and the ability to work effectively in an internationally integrated environment. UD paid special attention and promoted the mission of quality assurance and training programs, considering this as a "vital factor" to improve the autonomy and self-responsibility of learners, stakeholders, and social communities.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet – Director of UD- Department of Education Quality Assurance, also the rapporteur of the training course, trainees were trained on many key contents such as principles of building training programs according to Outcome Based Education; Effective methods of building learning outcomes, linking to the output standards of the curriculum and meeting the requirements of stakeholders; Instructions for choosing teaching methods and assessment methods to meet the learning outcomes; Instructions for building detailed course outlines according to OBE;

In addition, the assessment content to measure the degree to which learners meet the learning standards for improvement is also concerned and focused on Instructions on building exams linked to the OBE, tests designing/checking and evaluating the modules to meet the standards; Instructions on methods of measuring and evaluating the level of achievement of OBE of learners (directly and indirectly); Instructions for developing a report to evaluate the level of achievement of OBE and a report to improve the module...

Throughout the Program, the presenters are always enthusiastic in exchanging, guiding, and accompanying learners in teamwork, analyzing, and practicing from building and evaluating detailed course outlines; Analyzing the connection matrix between the modules and the learning outcomes of the curriculum; Evaluating samples of training program specifications, teaching programs, samples of training program specifications, teaching and practice programs, and evaluating the learning outcomes of the training programs built by the trainees; Sharing many useful experiences from universities and units.

At the end of the Training Course, the Organizing board evaluated and awarded Completion Certificates to participants who achieved the required results. The success of the Training Course, with the accompany of UD- Department of Education Quality Assurance in recent years, not only demonstrated the goal and strategy of taking quality as a ‘first core’, "vital" factor’ but also a strong commitment to learners and stakeholders to jointly implement and instill a culture of quality.
