The University of Danang-University of Economics held the Opening Ceremony of the 229th online/remote site visit AUN-QA program assessment of three training programs

 

 

On the morning of August 23rd, 2021, the University of Danang - University ofEconomics (UD-DUE) solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 229th Online External Assessment according to AUN-QA standards for 03 undergraduate training program, including Hotel Management, Banking and Corporate Finance with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – UD’s President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son – UD’s Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector of UD-DUE and members of AUN inspection team.

At the session, there were also leaders of UD's functional departments; UD-DUE’s Rectorate Board, School Council and related faculties.

Speaking at the Opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan – UD-DUE’s Rector warmly welcomed, highly appreciated and gave special thanks to AUN's inspection team for their support in the educational quality accreditation process of UD-DUE’s training programs.

Rector Nguyen Manh Toan also affirmed the significance and importance of continuing to participate in the accreditation process of these three training programs, thereby expressing his belief to improve the UD-DUE’s prestige and training quality, towards the development goals to affirm its role and mission as a leading Center for training, scientific research, policy consulting and economic management in Vietnam.

UD-DUE’s representative affirmed that all performance reports, personnel, records and sources of evidence relating to the above training programs were prepared. UD-DUE committed to make every effort to fully meet the requirements of the AUN inspection team.

According to a representative of AUN inspection team, this was the 229th external assessment of AUN and the 3rd time of UD-DUE. Notably, in order to adapt to the context of Covid-19, AUN team would work, survey and evaluate online to ensure objective criteria.

AUN inspection team would work from August 23rd to 27th, including activities such as document research, self-assessment report and evidence; interview, ideas and feedbacks collection from stakeholders (leaders, scientific council, faculties, departments, lecturers, students, staff, alumni, employers, enterprises…); comprehensive assessment of facilities, services, facilities, scientific research and other relevant activities.

With 12 faculties, 01 affiliated subject, 08 functional departments, 08 centers and affiliated libraries, UD-DUE currently offers 29 undergraduate programs, 07 master's programs, and 05 PhD programs and other international joint training programs.

UD-DUE has trained and provided thousands of Bachelors, Masters and Doctor of Philosophy, in which many alumni are currently undertaking key positions in localities, organizations, enterprises and universities throughout the country.

Continuing to affirm its role and mission as a center

for training, scientific research, policy consulting,

technology transfer and economic management

UD-DUE’s average enrollment is about 3,000 students including undergraduate, post-graduate and international students with admission scores that are always in the top of prestigious universities in the country.

Previously, UD-DUE had 05 training programs accredited and met the AUN-QA standards including: Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing, International Business and Marketing
