On August 25, The University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE) organized the International Conference on Management and Business (COMB-2023). This was a scientific event organized annually by UD-DUE. Up to now, it has been organized for 10 times, bringing together domestic and foreign scientists, experts and lecturers in related fields and majors.

This year's conference was coordinated by the University of Liège (Kingdom of Belgium), University of Economics - Hue University, Quy Nhon University, Nha Trang University and Hong Duc University.

Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector of UD-DUE spoke

According to Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector of UD-DUE, this was a forum to promote cooperation and creative connection to take advantage of new opportunities and trends to exchange and research new issues together in the field of business administration, appropriately applied to Vietnam's practical conditions in the context of promoting the development of digital economy, green economy, and circular economy for the goal of sustainable development.

Prof. Mario Cools - University of Liège (Belgium) made a scientific report

At the plenary session, delegates listened and discussed with Prof. Mario Cools - University of Liège (Belgium) with the scientific report topic "Green the supply chain: Underlining the crucial role of customers' behaviour" on "greening the supply chain", thereby highlighting solutions to promote the supply chain in a "green" investment strategy to improve competitiveness and efficiency in business operations.

Delegates discussed

With 78 scientific reports and presentations by more than 100 authors/author groups presented and discussed at thematic sessions held in person and online, the Conference's topics focused on relevant scientific and topical content such as: Innovation to improve business capacity and corporate governance in the digital era; Applying advanced corporate management theories in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution; Improving production management, finance, human resources and supply chain marketing and logistics capabilities for Vietnamese businesses in the post COVID-19 context; The spirit of business news in the trend of green economy and circular economy; Opportunities and challenges of human resource management in the digital transformation process, etc.

The Conference Organizing Committee awarded the Best Paper Award to the author groups: Vo Thi Mai Ha, Tran Duc Tri, Nguyen Nhu Phuong Anh with the scientific report "Motives For Sustainable Consumption in Vietnam: A Case Study Of Fast-moving Consumer Goods”; Truong Thi Van Anh and Hoang Moc Chi with the scientific report "Resurrecting Ancestral Style: Vietnamese Consumers' Perception Of Vintage Fashion For Sustainable Traditional Values".

Awarding the Best Paper Award to groups of authors with excellent articles

Within the Conference, there was also a roundtable discussion with the topic "Digital transformation in supply chain & logistics: Fostering fair competition and efficiency" discussing digital transformation in supply chain and logistics to promote and improve competitiveness and efficiency to develop sustainable logistics industries.
