On June 28, 2024, The University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) organized a meeting to summarize the Vietnamese Language Preparatory Program for the 2023-2024 academic year for 108 international students. Attending were Mr. Do Trung Kien - Deputy Director of the Center for International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Services of Da Nang City and representatives of the UD-UED's leaders, departments, faculties and all international students.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Vice Rector of UD-UED, in the 2023-2024 academic year, UD-UED received and trained 108 international students studying the Vietnamese Language Preparatory Program, including 107 Laos students studying under the Agreement Scholarship between the two governments (from the scholarship sources of Da Nang city and Dak Lak province) and 01 international student from Myanmar registered to study on a self-funded basis.

The UD-UED's leadership representative sent congratulations, appreciation and thanks to the international students for choosing UD-UED as a study abroad destination and to realize their dreams of acquiring knowledge.

On this occasion, the representative of the leaders of UD-UED respectfully thanked the agencies, departments, organizations of Da Nang city and localities of the two countries, especially the city leaders who have always cared, supported, and granted scholarships to international students, created opportunities for them to have enough ability to use Vietnamese to study university majors.

According to the UD-UED's representative, international students studying the Vietnamese Preparatory Program at UD-UED have been taught, practiced and developed comprehensive skills to use Vietnamese for study and research such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

In addition, international students were also organized by UD-UED to participate in practical activities such as field trips, cultural and language exchanges at famous places and destinations in Da Nang city and Quang Nam province; participate in traditional New Year festivals of Vietnam and Laos, Cambodia, Thailand; receive advice and orientation on choosing majors at member universities of the University of Danang, etc.

“Through these useful activities, we have become more confident in communication, integrating into the university learning and research environment, and at the same time have the opportunity to learn and experience the culture and customs of the Vietnamese people”, Laos student -Thatsany Phommasy shared.

“The learning process at UD-UED has helped international students acquire a lot of knowledge, skills and have useful and interesting experiences, especially the memories with lecturers and Vietnamese students that I will never forget”.

100% of international students completed the Vietnamese Language Preparatory Program for the 2023-2024 academic year, opening up opportunities to continue studying abroad at UD

The results of the Vietnamese Preparatory Program for the 2023-2024 academic year have shown that 100% of international students have completed the study program at UD-UED and will participate in the Vietnamese Proficiency Test for Foreigners held at UD-UED in the near future.

On this occasion, UD-UED awarded the Rector's Certificate of Merit to 03 outstanding international students who have made many contributions to the management and training of Vietnamese for international students.
