The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology cooperated with Sungkyunkwan University, Korea to focus on training and research in the field of semiconductor chips

Recently (January 24), at The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT), there has been a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony taken place between UD-DUT and Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), Korea.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Tien Dung - Vice Rector of UD-DUT, this was the starting mark that opens a period of promoting cooperation between the two universities to jointly promote the potential and strengths in training and scientific research, especially when SKKU has strengths in training high-quality human resources in the field of semiconductor chips, which UD-DUT has a need to strengthen development and open new training majors.

Discussing and sharing at the working session and signing the MOU with UD-DUT, Prof. Taesung Kim - Principal of the College of Engineering at SKKU said that SKKU is accompanied and sponsored by the famous Samsung Group, especially in the building of high-tech research centers to meet training requirements, scientific research, especially in the field of semiconductor chip design and production.

SKKU is proud to be a reliable address providing the majority of human resources for Samsung Group, a leading brand in the fields of electronic technology and microchip manufacturing. The university-industry connection brings many values, opportunities for learning, practice/internship and career development for students and lecturers.

According to the signed MOU, this is a dynamic cooperation model, suitable to the needs and strengths of each party, with a focus on sharing expertise and updating advanced knowledge; jointly developing and proposing the implementation of joint research cooperation projects, promoting the exchange of lecturers and students; sharing learning resources, thereby contributing to improving the quality of training and scientific research.

On this occasion, UD-DUT also signed an in-depth cooperation agreement with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of "Smart" Robotics under SKKU.

On January 25, the working group included many SKKU professors such as: Prof. Taesung Kim - Principal of SKKU University of Engineering; Prof. Seunghyun Baik - Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering; Prof. Hyungpil Moon - Head of the Department of Intelligent Robotics, etc. directly interviewed and selected for Master/PhD scholarships, creating favorable opportunities for staff, lecturers, students/apprentices of UD-DUT to develop high-level expertise at SKKU, one of Korea's leading universities with international reputation.
